Battle of Chestnut Neck Memorial Service

Commemoration and memorial service for the 1778 Battle of Chestnut Neck. For more information about the battle, click here. This annual National SAR Color Guard event is hosted by the Somers Chapter.

Following the 10am service, we will move to Port Republic grave marking ceremony in Port Republic which is about 5 minutes away.

  1. 1130am for the Micajah Smith grave marking (Patriot Ancestor of South Jersey Chapter member Kenneth McGill.)

  2. Port Republic City Hall will be open for light refreshments following the ceremony.

  3. Attending: Serfass, McGill, Williams, Magnum
