SAR Educational Programs and Grants
The National Society, Sons of the American Revolution, aims to support educators and parents in teaching America’s history and principles. They facilitate research, connect with advisers for lesson planning, and sponsor youth programs like poster, brochure, essay, video, and oration projects based on patriotic themes. Qualified historians can visit classrooms to discuss New Jersey’s role in the American Revolution using replica artifacts.
New Jersey was the “Crossroads of the American Revolution,” with more engagements and actions than any other state. It has many historic sites and societies offering educational programs that introduce youth to the nation’s founding. With numerous skirmishes, battles, historic homes, and buildings, New Jersey is a living classroom.
The NJ Society, Sons of the American Revolution, aims to promote understanding of New Jersey’s role in America’s beginnings. They encourage students, educators, and families to actively learn our history.
